Sessions for both programs listed below will be held every Sunday (excluding November 29) starting October 18 and ending December 13 in the main gym of Andrean High School, located at 5959 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410. The size of each program will be limited to 36 players. Checks made payable to Naveed Nizam.
A clinic for those interested in becoming Parent Volunteers will take place on October 11, 2009 in the Andrean High School gym from 11 :00 am – 2:00 pm.

“Niner Tots” – 1st and 2nd grade boys/girls
Sunday practice : 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Cost $120.00 per player
This program is designed to introduce players to the game of volleyball. Training is focused on the development of basic motor skills through various exercises and drills. It is geared for 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls with little or no previous volleyball experience. This eight week session will meet every Sunday for one and a half hours. Looking for parent volunteers!
This program will include:
- Introduction to the game of volleyball
- Agility and footwork
- On court movement
- Hand-eye coordination drills
“Mini Niners” – 3rd and 4th grade boys/girls
Sunday practice : 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
Cost $120.00 per player
This program focuses on developing the fundamental skills of the game of volleyball. Training will emphasize team play and the development of individual skills. It is geared for 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls with little or no previous volleyball experience. This eight week session will meet every Sunday for one and a half hours. Looking for parent volunteers!
This program will include:
- Passing, serving, and attacking
- Skill development
- Building teamwork
- 4 vs. 4 competition
